Artoo’s whistles were angry.

“Listen, I can’t justify it. You’ll have to make do with a patch.”

This set changed tone, more demanding.

“Because if I got you new coverings every time you took shrapnel, we’d run the Republic out of metal.” Anakin had two of the smaller holes in Artoo patched with single drops of solder, and had already replaced his left wheel.

The next set of whistles were wheedling as Artoo bargained.
